Hon. Babagana Modu

Hon. BABAGANA MODU was born on 31 st December, 1951 in Bama, Bama Local Government Area of Borno State. Primary and Secondary Education: He attended Central Primary School, Bama and Senior Primary School, Dikwa from 1957 to 1963 respectively in the present day Borno State, and attended Government Craft School, Maiduguri and Defence Industrial Training School, Kaduna for Secondary Three and full Secondary Technical Education from 1964 to 1971 respectively. Hon. Babagana Modu also obtained Fidrex Management Institute Certificate on Credit and Debt Management and Fundamentals of Effective Management Certificate from the same Institute. Working Experience: Hon. Babagana Modu worked with Defence Industries Corporation, Kuduna from 1971 to 1973 in the Production Department. He also worked with Mandara Group of Companies as Manager from 1974 to 1978. He served as Director at Awami International Nigeria Limited and as Executive Director with Elsan Nigeria Limited, Ibadan from 1984 to 1985. He was also a Managing Director at Arus Nigeria Limited from 1993 to 2020. Political Career: Hon. Babagana Modu was a two-time Member of the House of Representatives in 1983 and 1993 respectively. He is a philanthropist and a Community Leader. He is currently an Honourable Commissioner in the National Assembly Service Commission, representing the North East Geo-Political Zone of the Country.
